Terms of Use

These terms are between you and Ihor Dzhevaha, a sole trader (empresário em nome individual) registered in Portugal (NIF 309834783), Apartado 3031, Leca da Palmeira, 4451-801, Portugal, reachable at support@movko.app ("we", "our"). By using the app you accept them. The licence to use the app itself is Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which we do not change.

  1. What the app is. A language learning app for everyday life abroad. Courses have phrases, short dialogues and recorded audio. We keep adding and correcting content, which can change without an update of the app.
  2. Language help, not advice. Content about offices, health, school, housing, police, banks and other official matters is language help. It is not legal, medical, financial or other professional advice. Procedures, documents and offices change, so each such dialogue shows the date it was checked; confirm facts with the official source. We cannot promise that a person you talk to will understand or answer as in a dialogue.
  3. Free part and subscription. Part of the app is free. A subscription unlocks all situations and courses. Prices and period are shown in the app, in your currency, before you buy. New subscribers get a free trial of 7 days when the app offers it to them (it is shown before you buy); the first payment is taken when the trial ends unless you cancel before. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until you cancel. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. You can cancel at any time in iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions; the cancellation applies from the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled by Apple under its rules (reportaproblem.apple.com). Using Restore Purchases in the app brings back your access on a new device.
  4. Your use. Use the app for yourself, lawfully. Do not copy, resell or publish the content, audio or app, scrape it, or try to break or bypass its protections. The content, the fox character, the name and the design belong to us or our licensors; we give you a personal, non-transferable right to use them while these terms apply.
  5. Your data. See the Privacy Policy. You can export and delete your data in the app at any time.
  6. Changes and ending. We may change or stop a feature, or the app, and will give notice in the app when a change matters to you. You may stop using the app at any time; if you delete your data, you lose your progress.
  7. Our responsibility. The app is provided as it is. We take care to make it correct and available, but cannot promise that it is error free, always available, or that it will give you a particular result. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. None of this limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury), or your mandatory consumer rights in the country where you live.
  8. Contact and disputes. Write to support@movko.app first; we will try to solve the problem with you. These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory consumer protection of the country where you live and may bring a claim in the courts of that country; for anyone else the Portuguese courts decide. You can also use the consumer dispute resolution bodies available in your country (in Portugal, see consumidor.gov.pt); we are not bound to any particular body.
