In Porto you need to buy an Andante card and load journeys onto it.

How it's done. In Porto and the surrounding area people travel with the Andante card: you buy and top it up at machines at metro stations, the zone is marked by a letter and a number (Z2 - the city centre), and every journey has to be validated.Prepared by the Movko team, November 2026.
